The Mesa Police Department's Youth Leadership Academy is a week-long summer program designed to offer high school-aged youth in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades a blend of hands-on and classroom experiences. Participants engage in a variety of activities, including descending a 7-story tower via rappelling, a service-learning project, views of various police functions and learning about topics such as distracted driving, substance abuse, and more.
